Franchisee Matt Giles and Lawrie Walter were given the award at Battery World’s National Conference recently.

Mr Giles said the award was based on sales, store presentation, recycling program and a mystery shopper satisfaction of 95 per cent or over.

“We knew we were ticking boxes – because we have been working really hard with our customer community to really raise the bar when it comes to service,” he said.

“We really share this with our customers – it is a great win for Bunbury.”

At Battery World’s conference they held a charity auction and raised $55,000 for Camp Quality.

Mr Giles said it was a great event.

“We were thrilled to win an award and then to raise that much money for kids with cancer really capped the whole event,” he said.

Battery World general manager John Pascoe said he was proud of the efforts by the Bunbury team to improve their service.

“Consumers can get better bang for their buck when our franchisees show them how to get further life out of their existing electrical devices,” he said.

“We have become problem solvers showing them just how much they don’t need to spend and upgrade when their old phone or camera will do.”
